Today, the iPad is still the absolute dominant player in the tablet market.
Strategy Analytics, a statistical agency, described the market in 2019 from the perspective of the processor on the tablet.
The report pointed out that in 2019, the tablet processor market reached US$1.9 billion, a year-on-year increase of 2%. Among them, Apple’s sales revenue accounted for 44%, that is, the A-series processors are still the most popular in the tablet market.
In comparison, Qualcomm and Intel each took 16% of the revenue share, and MediaTek, Samsung (Exynos) and HiSilicon ranked 4th, 5th and 6th respectively. Samsung and HiSilicon both achieved year-on-year growth.
In particular, in the field of Windows tablets, Intel has almost a monopoly, but Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8cx, 8c, 7c, etc. have also begun to emerge with the help of Windows 10 on ARM and have a place.
However, the report does not give the specific sales of iPad, Android tablet and Windows tablet. The average price of each processor is different, and it is difficult to directly equate the above share and sales volume.
